Suitable for beginners all the way to advanced yogis, our yoga class on the Gold Coast will take you through a sequence of postures that help unite mind, body and spirit.

Restorative YIN Yoga
Craving an excuse to unwind, go deeper into your breath and therapeutically work through sequences centred around flexibility, muscle release and meditation? Our yin classes on the Gold Coast are suitable for yogi’s at all levels, even those recovering from injury. Prepare to relax into postures as we hold them for 3-5 minutes, awakening meridian channels and releasing tension in your muscles, joints and, most importantly, your mind.

Perfect for: Those wanting to decompress, bring a sense of calm and balance to their day while working on their flexibility and breath.

Don’t be fooled by the name; you do not require any prior dance experience to feel and see the benefits of our barre classes on the Gold Coast. Barre is a high-intensity fusion of Pilates and dance-inspired movement that will leave your muscles burning, all while building good posture and alignment. Our teachers deliver fun, fast-paced classes that will have you smiling and craving more. If you are concerned about the speed or are recovering from an injury, try a traditional Pilates class first before diving into barre.

You can expect: Burn, lots and lots of burn. Barre is a whole-body workout, with a focus on the quad, glutes and core.
The goal of Pilates is to strengthen the entire body, with a focus on core activation and pelvic stability. Pilates is a low-impact, controlled form of exercise that can be practised every day and is fantastic for those recovering from or wishing to avoid injury. Our Pilates classes on the Gold Coast use bodyweight and small props such as the Pilates ball, magic circle, band and 1kg weights to build long, lean muscles. Chances are you might wake up a muscle you didn’t even know existed!

Hello, and welcome. My name is Emma Walkinshaw and I am the founder and owner of ‘Yoga in Paradise’ located on the vibrant Chevron Island, Gold Coast Australia.
I am a heart centred woman. I am a wife and mother of 2 beautiful children who are my greatest achievement. I have a passion for teaching yoga and all things personal development. I’m also a raving fan of empowering the self-belief in others. Today, I do it through my yoga studio “Yoga in Paradise” and my coaching practice. I am a certified life coach and a licenced facilitator of The Clarity Catalyst, an 8 week powerful personal growth workshop designed by Michael Ray from Stanford University in the USA. I am also a coach of The Desire Map by Danielle La Porte.
The heart of personal development is self-awareness. Whether it’s in a downward dog or having a conversation. When you are prepared to get out of “judgement” and into “curiosity”, you are able to answer some of the questions that often keep us searching for many years.
